Jerry Peters – City Manager
Jerry Peters was appointed City Manager in June 2004. Prior to his appointment, Mr. Peters served as Executive Assistant to the City Manager (August 2002 – February 2003) and as Deputy City Manager (February 2003 – June 2004). He came to municipal government from the private sector where he was Vice President of Mountain States Administration, a leading third-party administrator in Colorado. Previously, Mr. Peters was the Community Relations Director for Rocky Mountain Energy, a subsidiary of Union Pacific, and also was a member of the faculty at the Colorado School of Mines. A long-time resident of Colorado, Mr. Peters holds a degree from the University of Northern Colorado, served in the US Air Force, has been an officer of numerous professional associations, and has received several awards for his professional achievements.
Chuck Line – Deputy City Manager
Chuck Line was promoted to Deputy City Manager in August 2004, and retained his responsibilities as Community Development Director. Prior to his employment at the City in May 1999, Mr. Line was a Senior Asset Manager and Portfolio Manager at Mercy Housing, Inc., responsible for more than 100 properties nationwide. In addition, Mr. Line was previously a member of the Regional Planning Advisory Committee of the Denver Regional Council of Governments and the Colorado Communications and Utility Alliance (formerly the Greater Metro Telecommunications Consortium). Mr. Line holds a Bachelor of Science in Marketing from the University of Nebraska at Omaha; a Masters of Business Administration from the University of Nebraska; and a Juris Doctor from the University of Denver School of Law. He is licensed to practice law in Colorado.
Linda Cassaday – Deputy City Manager
Linda Cassaday was appointed Deputy City Manager in August 2008, and retained her responsibilities as Finance Director. Prior to her employment with the City in 2004, Ms. Cassaday worked as a Certified Public Accountant for 20 years, including 4 years as audit partner in the firm Hiratsuka, Cassaday & Schaus, LLP, and 5 years as a sole practitioner, specializing in the area of governmental accounting and auditing. She is a member of the Government Finance Officers Association and the American Institute of Certified Public Accountants. Ms. Cassaday is a graduate of the University of Colorado.
Mike Gross – Project Representative
Mike Gross was appointed Project Representative for the Glendale 180 in January 2011, and retained his responsibilities as Captain in the Glendale Police Department. He has served the City for over 20 years, and is currently the City’s Operations Commander, Emergency Manager, and Public Information Officer. Mr. Gross is a certified Crime Prevention Through Environmental Design Practitioner as well as a Crime Prevention Specialist. He is a member of the International Association of Chiefs of Police, the National Institute of Crime Prevention and the International Association of Crime Prevention Practitioners. Mr. Gross is a graduate of Northwestern University School of Police Staff and Command and a Medal of Valor recipient.
